For the uninitiated, Nicolas Jaar’s music is a new kind of live interaction performance like nothing we’ve seen before in the electronic scene.  We saw him recently at Music Hall of Williamsburg and then two days later at the 5-hour set he performed at MoMa’s PS1.  Pitchfork was on scene as well and made this great video of the event.  Next time you see Nicolas Jaar performing near you: BUY A TICKET, it’ll be one of the best shows you see.

GRADO, our favorite brooklyn-based headphone manufacturer, has blown us away, yet again. The RS-1is are the top of the line of the Reference series models from Grado, and to say they sound phenomenal is an understatement. They are a long-standing item from Grado’s product line, but we just got them in our store for the first time today, and its very exciting!!

Here, Grado has really gotten into the details, unpacking music into discreet events that are at once isolated and autonomous while being tightly focused and blended to perfection. This rubberized AM/FM Radio from Lexon has a unique design, encased in a rubber body sleeve for both aesthetic and practical reasons. Making the design stunningly original, amazing to hold and also durable and waterproof, the rubber coating on the Tykho radio sets these radios apart from the rest. Simple controls are easy to use, an on/off button on top, AM/FM and volume buttons on the front, and the antenna works as the knob for tuning in stations.
